Vendor Verification Program
Cornerpin Real Estate maintains a directory of over 500 home service providers in the Ithaca area. We verify every listing through direct contact — by email, text message, or phone — so homeowners know who’s active, accurate, and still serving the community.
The Verification Process
- Vendor listings are sourced from public Google Business profiles, professional referrals, and recommendations from our clients and colleagues in Tompkins County.
- Periodically, we contact each vendor by email or text message to confirm their listing is accurate — correct business name, phone number, services offered, and service area.
- Verification is a one-time check per cycle, not a recurring message program. We reach out, you confirm or correct, and that’s it until the next review.
- Vendors who respond receive a Verified badge on their listing, letting homeowners know the information is confirmed and current.
Text Message Verification Details
Some vendors are more easily reached by text than email. For those providers, Cornerpin Real Estate sends a brief SMS to the business phone number on file to verify their directory listing.
That’s the whole program. One text, one reply, and your listing is verified.
Your Rights as a Listed Vendor
We built this directory to help homeowners find reliable service providers. We want it to be useful for vendors, too — not a nuisance. Here’s what you can expect from us:
- Reply STOP to any message to immediately opt out of text communications. No follow-up, no questions asked.
- Request removal from the directory entirely by contacting us at [email protected] or (607) 288-4881.
- Your phone number is never shared with third parties. It is used only for verification.
- We never send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages. Only verification — confirming that your business details are accurate.
